"I love men. But, there is no husband, fiance, boyfriend, or lover that can replace the friendship of a bestie or two." ~PT, AUTHOR OF EVOLVING BEAUTY BRANDS
When I was a young girl I remember being told
"look at your friends and you'll see your future." "Pick your friends like fruit," meaning be selective/picky...I agree with those sentiments to some degree. Unlike family, we can choose our TRIBE. We all have friends that we just no longer click with, we've grown in different directions and just have little in common. But it doesn't negate the importance of the bond, the shared times, secrets, escapades and excursions. Romantic relationships are paramount. But, there is no husband, finance, boyfriend or lover that can replace the friendship of a bestie or two.
Welcome to our first edition of
FIELD NOTES for the EVOLUTION.
A monthly discovery series.
As Women in our culture today, we seem to be in one big hurry. A rush from one responsibility to another, particularly when it’s related to being successful. And what is success anyway? Is it acquiring wealth? I don’t believe it’s related to money. I believe success is self-imposed, a product of our will and definition of it. Success is setting your dreams in motion and smashing them through the ceiling. The ability to conquer the daily, monthly and annual milestones to YOUR defined success. Of course, money creates comfort, seemingly buys us more time and can create freedom, depending on your perspective. Ahhhh, the FREEDOM to do.
